Windows 2000, can't open folders

Tonight, I logged into win2k and tried opeing different folders. nothing worked at all, and norton antivirus will not work at all. here are some pictures of whats happeing...

the last two show what happens when i try to add/remove programs, and the others occur when i try to open a folder, any ideas??

Looks like you problem is with IE. Try repairing it, or if that doesnt work, you may have to reinstall IE again.
You can repair it by,(this is in my 98se machine so it may be a little different for yours) go into safe mode,choose PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS-SYSTEM INFO- and from the drop down list under tools, choose Repair Internet explorer,
Or another way is to go into safe mode, add remove programs, and select IE, it will offer you to option to repair or go back to previous version, you would choose repair. If it says that it cant be repaired, or it still doesnt work, you may have no other choice but to reinstall IE. Sorry.

I had something like that, it kept telling me IE commited an illegal operation and would be shut down. I repaired and it only worked for a few minutes, that when I reinstalled, it ended up really benefitting me since I was using IE5 and when I reinstalled I got IE6!
