More information would help.... What is a 'FOR-A FA-300/300P'? And is that the brand or the model?

A Mod can move the thread if it's in the wrong Forum.

    And welcome to our forums.

  4. The manufacturer's site has manuals for some later models. They might be somewhat useful.

  5. P.S. One minute with Google turned this up:

    www.broadcaststore.com/pdf/model/9726/9726.pdf

This was so easy to find that I assume it is not what you were looking for. I guess it is just the brochure, but perhaps it will provide a little bit of information that you are looking for.

Closest thing available on the web is the 370 manual. Maybe it has enough information for you.

Unfortunately it's a whole different model, not many similarities

  9. The company appears to still be in business. I'd just use the phone and call them.

  10. I hope you did not spend a lot of money for this FOR-A: if it isn't working perfectly, it may not be worth fixing. I've tried several of these old FOR-A "pizza box" TBCs, and none were any good for VHS. They've pretty much aged to the point of uselessness: they require complete rebuilding as opposed to mere servicing. Many of them can't reliably filter Macrovision out of a VHS signal. If possible, I'd recommend looking for a more recent unit like Hotronic AP-41.
