  1. Hello.

I converted a VOB video and the result is unbelievable.
Here is the low-down of the problem:

The video duration was actually 1H1M and a few seconds.
While converting to MP4/H.264 format with Handbrake, it got reduced to a duration of 8S880ms. I believe the contents are not lost.

    The Video details via PotPlayer:

    The source is gone.

Is it possible to stretch this video to its original duration to 1H1M?

    Thanks.

Really? Where do you think 100,000+ frames of your DVD source went? They didn't go into your short video file.

Sure. But you'll have a slideshow.

The MediaInfo report shows only 1.68 seconds of video. Either case, you're screwed.

  3. Thanks @jagabo

Yes. it was a slideshow. A presentation with stills.

    No way?

  4. What's the real length of the video you have? In the thread title you say 18.88s, in the body of your first post you say 8.88s, and the MediaInfo report says 1.68s for the video stream. You can remux with a low frame rate -- just how low depends on what the real length of the video stream is. 1.68 seconds at 30 fps corresponds to 50 frames. To display 50 frames over 61 minutes requires a frame rate of 0.0139 fps. Audio will be out of sync, of course.

  5. I remember it was 1h 1m + a few seconds.

    Pot player says:

    Total duration: 18s 880ms.
    Video length: 1s 68ms

Once I'd stretched an audio track from 1h31m41s to 1h41m44s, without changing pitch and without loss of sync. But can't recall how I did it.

    It's all so frustrating.

Any number of tools can do that. Audacity, VirtualDub, etc. But you're not going to stretch an 18 second audio clip to an hour and have anything recognizable.
