  1. Hello. First post here. This is all very new to me. Basically I fell in love with a movie (Amelie) and cannot wait the three months for the DVD to come out. I have tried downloading several copies of the movie. I can already tell that they are not of very high quality from the audio but it should tide me over. Here is my dilema:

I can hear the audio but not see the video. These are in .avi format. I have tried playing in media player, quicktime, and powerdvd 3.0. I have a divx codec that I ran (an .exe sound right?) but nothing is showing the movies. For the love of Amelie please help me to see this! The movie will be here for like four more showings and I plan on seeing at least half of them but would love to see this in my home. Thank you very much!

  2. Most movies I DL I found arent divx, they are MPEG-4 V3. When I reinstalled my OS I installed divx but i couldnt watch my movies, I found this site, they should have the codecs needed to play. Try some of their MPG4 codecs
