cannot decode ac3 ( i think ) audio into mpg2 audio

the film is Ali, its notorious for problems but i realy want to conquer this.
ive tried doom9`s guide with besweet but where it asks for file name, all i have is the avi (film) how do i rip audio off ( im beginning to doubt it has an audio file) ive tried virtual dub cool edit pro and besweet.

someone must know what file im talking about.

please advise me as im at a loss as what to do next.

you've tried saving the audio as a wav in virtualdub?
(audio->full processing mode file->save wav use wav in besweet)
