  1. Hello everyone. I had to make a short/no-budget documentary for class and my problem is the audio of my footages is not leveled. Some of the sounds and dialogues been recorded with the camera, some with a voice recorder and couple of them with a mobile phone. So some of them are loud, some noisy and some in low-volume. What would be the quickest and easiest way to adjust all of them in a same level?

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. As you didn't provided sufficient number of details (formats, compression, preferred software environment and most important - your expectations) it is hard to provide simple answer for such question however based on my experience i can recommend ffmpeg with dynaudnorm filter as it will create homogenic (consistent) perceived loudness level in all files and can do such conversion in a highly automatic way (depends on your preferences - drag & drop or whole folder with file extension mask).

Very similar problem to yours: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/380396-Volume-Level-Equalizing-a-Bunch-of-MP3-files...o-it?p=2459165

After you match loudness, you will need to perform spectral equalization because your sources are so diverse. Otherwise, they will still sound jarringly different. (Unless that's what you want.)

  5. This process is call "Mixing" and the best way is to do it by hand and ear in your NLE software or dedicated audio editing software.
