I was using this software from a Chinese company, Socusoft, to make a memorial DVD for my mother, that included videos and some photos in albums. It offered a menu capability, which is why I picked it. It appears to be ok, until I try to burn the DVD. At that point, it goes all the way through to the last video, then truncates it at a certain point. The first runthrough, I thought it was too long, so removed a long video, but it still stopped at the same point. I tried installing the truncated video as both a wmv and an avi. It doesn't seem to matter. I deleted the file and connected it again (which seemed pointless since the software just uses pointers to the file on the hard drive, but I thought it was worth a shot) but still no go.

I have emailed the company twice on this problem with no reply, although they did respond to an earlier question.

Any suggestions, before I write off the six months of work and transfer everything over to something different?

    Thanks.

Is the program creating AND burning the disc?
If there is an option in the program that gives you the end result(VIDEO-TS folder) for you to burn in another burning program.....take it.

Yes, it both creates and burns. The finished product is correct until it just cuts the last video off.

  4. Maybe too much stuff for one dvd? Not enough room on the DVD?

I thought at first that might be the problem, so removed one vid file. But there's under 2G on this now, so that's not the problem. Thanks.

  6. Try Hech54's advice and use this software to burn: https://www.videohelp.com/software/ImgBurn

The slideshow software only shows you the links. When you burn the disc, it fills in with the actual files. But when I looked at the Moviemaker file, which was stopping in the middle, some of the links to jpgs weren't connected. Once I found the photos again, it burned it. Some final tweaks, and I'll have the job done. Thanks for all the help.
