Hello,
I have a DVD without subtitles : Train to Pakistan. So, I downloaded subs, but found only Russian ones. And they are written in cyrillic characters...
I am completely lost. How can I translate the subs to add them to my DVD?

Load in Subtitle Edit and click "Auto-translate" at the top (if image based subtitles you need to OCR first). But with all auto-translations the result will be horrible so I suggest you keep searching for a French or English subtitle or buy the DVD with English subtitle.

How to translate Cyrillic characters?
-
Hi sneaker,
thanks for your quick answer. Subtitle Edit was good (I had to import with manual chosen encoding, and choose Cyrillic). Then I made the translation, it worked perfectly!
Of course, there are some strange words, but now I can understand most of the movie.
If it is a good film, I'll buy the DVD. (thanks for the french link. I think I found cheaper here: http://cart.payments.ebay.fr/sc/add?srt=01000100000050510a2bc7d4c13abffcfc6b95a5b4a0a2...49692222,qty:1)
Hi El Heggunte,
thanks for this precision.
Have a nice day, both of you
