    I noticed my mp4 files now have a little C:\_ icon. I have not seen that before. Media preview puts a video reel image around the file which is still there but also the C:\_ icon. Does anyone know what it is about . See the image attached

    EDIT: OK fixed it by clicking Fix thumbnail types settings on Media Preview. Now they have the VLC icon where the C:\_ was

    That icon addon likely refers to an associated default playing/rendering/thumbnailing app. And that c:\ is shorthand for a command-line app ("CLI", like ffmpeg, etc).
