    I have a problem with subtitle workshop preview on Windows 10 x64. I can see preview subtitles with .avi files but I canīt see them with .mkv or .mp4 files

    I installed vobsub 2.23 for x86 and x64.

    Anyone have any solution?

    Try install vsfilter or ffdshow or lav filters.

    Or switch to Subtitle Edit.

    ffdshow I have already installed and configured. With the video I have no problems. Only with the subtitle preview in .mkv and .mp4 format.

    I will try with lav filters.

    I need to install both versions (x86 and x64) on a 64-bit OS?

    Subtitle Workshop is obsolete, you better avoid it.

    As suggested above, try Subtitle Edit instead (which is superior, anyway).

    If you don't want to install the lav filters, you could use VLC for the video preview.

    Subtitle edit is very much more limited than SW. I wonder what you find superior in it. It certainly is not

    Do you actually write, adjust or correct subtitles? SE doesn't even get close to SW on what you can do.

    Use the latest version of Subtitle Workshop 6.0d, as it has a VLC renderer. This requires VLC 32 bit installed. In the menu of subtitle workshop 6.0D: movie -> video renderer -> VLC.
