Hi,
I'm having some problems concerning my captured AVIs. When I capture from my MiniDV camera to my HD using firewire, I get an error every time I try to open the captured avi with Virtualdub. It's very strange, because, in the past I used to capture and directly encode to VCD with TMPGEnc without any problem, but now every time I try to open the Captured AVI with Virtualdub it says : "couldn't locate decompressor for format 'dvsd' (unknown)" . I tried capturing with several apps including Adobe Premiere and Ulead Media Studio.
I hope someone can help me because this is pretty frustrating.

hope this helps. There are two types of AVI files. Type 1 and type 2. your program may not support both types. Type 1 has a single AVI stream. Type 2 has multiple AVI streams.
