    Hello

I'm located outside the UK and would like to download the following program:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07pmyd6/inside-the-factory-series-2-4-bicycles

Using the Chrome extension "BBC iPlayer Proxy", I can watch it in the browser, but after installing the separate BBC iPlayer Downloads application required when hitting the Download link in the page, it fails downloading the show. I attached a screenshot.

But then, since the application runs outside the browser, I wasn't surprised since it probably hits the server directly, using my local, non-UK IP address.

Short of taking a subscription for a VPN in the UK, does someone know of a workaround to download a BBC Two show from abroad?

    Thank you.

Edit: The Perl-based get_iplayer mentioned in this thread didn't work either:
    Code:
    c:\Program Files\get_iplayer>get_iplayer --mode=flashstd --url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07pmyd6/inside-the-factory-series-2-4-bicycles

Sorry for bringing up an old topic. Anyone use smart dns for BBC iPlayer on smart TV?
I want to stream it to my TV without VPN
