    Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade or hack DVD player so that it can play SVCD.
    I heard that there are some codes??

    Does anyone have information or link about that.

    It's not a hack. To be able to play a SVCD, there has to be a SECOND laser in the DVD to be able to read the CD (different wavelengths). No amount of hacking will produce a laser where one doesn't exist.

    if your player support cdr/cdrw and vcd you could try this trick
    http://www.geocities.com/newestmoviesencode/dvdvcd
    if not buy a new dvd player or convert the svcd to vcd.
