I was not sure where to post this so I am posting here. I am trying the latest DivX10 and although I do a full installation the DivX codec does not seem to get installed (it is not listed in the installed codecs on my system and I can not select and use it from other applications). I was using Xvid till recently and thought to give DivX a try. Am I doing something wrong?

It seems the MPEG-4 ASP codec made by DivX does not exist anymore since "long ago"

Yes, the last version of the MPEG 4 Part 2 codec (equivalent to Xvid) was 6.x, released around 2007.

I tried uninstalling DivX10 but the installer did nothing (without any error message) and I was forced to manually delete all folders.
