I had been playing all my 3D files using software that I got for free from an external blu ray device for my PC.
Well my laptop crashed and I had to reInstall the OS and I don't have that disc available currently.
It was a simple matter to hook that laptop up to any 3D ready TV with the built in HDMI port before the crash and now I can't find any software that does that exact same thing I got for free before.
I have tired Pot Player but none of the settings I have tried produce an actual correct 3D image.
It will be some time before I will be able to dig the disc I need out of storage and I would like to watch these movies in the mean time.
How can I get Pot Player to work?

why not go to external blu-ray drive mfg site
and perhaps you can DL the software that is on the disc -
This is just a guess, since I don't have a 3D screen... Pot Player has a Row Interleave setting, which I think is what you need for passive 3D glasses. Go to Video->3D Video Mode. Set Output (Screen) to Row Interleave and try checking Autodetect 3D input format if you don't know which Input (Source) format to pick.
If that doesn't help maybe KMPlayer will work. Read about using KM Player for 3d here here: https://www.maketecheasier.com/play-passive-3d-movies-in-windows/
