Handbrake hardsubs look very bad

I have burned ssa subtitles with Handbrake but it looks very bad.

My guess is that what you don't like is the outline thickness ( or shadow). Edit it with Subtitle Edit or Aegisub.

Except your subs will not be legible when the picture behind them is white. That's why people use the black outline and/or shadow options.

I hate that. Even mainstream TV and Hollywood movies make that mistake. Nothing worse than having a bunch of subtitles that aren't visible.
