    Hello,

    I find that the player in my browser for Youtube is dark and there are no controls for brightness or contrast.
    Changing my videocard settings does not seem to help. My monitor is set at its brightest and renders everything else sufficiently bright.

    Is there another player I could paste the youtube url into and have brightness and contrast controls to make the image brighter?

    Did you adjust the setting in the right place in your graphics card's setup applet? There are two places where you can adjust brightness, contrast, etc. One for the desktop, the other for video (or media).

    I adjusted the one for video only and then I rebooted to make sure it got set.
