My DVD players are like 6 - 7 years old, they will play .avi files from a USB stick. Were there any recent models that will play H.264 and .mts files ? I know it's a PRETTY DUMB question but... I never upgraded to a Blu Ray player because I couldn't care less about it. Any DVD's I have are 480i from DVD recorders I've used for many years... but I would like the option of being able to play newer file types using USB. Suggestions would be appreciated.....

I also have a Homeworx HW-150PVR, another model ATSC tuner/pvr, and a Western Digital TV Live Plus. All of them will play x.264, .mts and mkv files. What I wanted is something for the bedroom that can play DVDs and the newer file types in one unit. There are many variations of Blu Ray players, have no idea which one would suit my needs.
