  1. For people who compose music and soundtrack for their own videos, I think this is a very silly question.

But with video producer who still at beginning level like me, there's no way else is to find some free source music to attach to my work ( I do credit them of course )

But sometime I still got the copyright notice from Google and Youtube that I'm using another's one music ( even if they are listed as free lol )

I read lots of case studies and pages ( like this http://linktomp3.com/page/terms-of-service ) but nothing works with me so far, there's no clue how the Internet copyright work

Anyone has any idea or advise for this ?

  3. Here is how I deal with music copyright. I post a clip or the video with that music on facebook, then if I violate the copyright rules, that post will be delete immediately. With this method, you could know the copyright issue.

  4. have you checked metadata? Or source, doesnt the source have an obligation to provide such an information?

  5. The copyright should be in the metadata tags and posted on the download page. "Creative Commons" (CC) is a type of copyright that lets you use the music for free (similar to open source software), usually with "attribution" - that is, giving credit and a link back to the artist. Some CC licenses allow using their music in a video, others don't, but this is clearly explained in the copyright ("no derivative works" means it's not OK)

  6. Same problem... ended up buying few silly melodies on AudioJungle, and re-used them numerously
Then I've made an arrangement with a nice young Russian composer who created awesome tracks and music of his own, but was not yet too famous to brush me off, and started using his music in my videos with a link to his channel as an audio creator. It was quite a solution at the time.

  7. The original solution. And how did you get this young artist? Did it cost you a lot?
