However, the site has been redesigned with akamai and wowza technology. I think that's because I know nothing about.

Both those technologies are designed to be encrypted and/or obfuscated from source to (paid/subscribed) destination, for the obvious reason that those sites don't want you to download their stuff except on their terms.
