Thought I'd try VOB2MPG Pro, as I was fairly happy with the free version, but was having a problem that I thought might be fixed by a feature in the Pro version (timecode).

I paid by Paypal (still waiting for registration key), and clicked on the download. A red window popped up that said "VOB2MPG.zip is unsafe to download and was blocked by SmartScreen Filter."

Is this a fatal problem? Is this software malicious?

    Edit:
Received the registration key (buried in the Spam folder). It had a link to the registered users area. In there was a link to the latest version. It downloaded OK with upsetting SmartScreen. I still have my problem cutting videos, but VOB2MPG Pro is now working.

Smartscreen Filter??? Uninstall your crappy antivirus program. .

What do you use to cut your mpg? Avidemux, videoredo, mpg2cut2, etc.

Yeah, Microsoft Security Essentials isn't the best, but it's the first time it has flagged something as unsafe. I wonder why?

I'm using Ashampoo Movie Studio Pro 2. A friend cut it with Adobe Premiere without any issues.
