    Hi. Such subtitle has some "tricks" on it. Or same kind of "errors" or "protection" to avoid some editing or copying.

    Here below follow the file edited with srt format pattern. But it is "protected" or containing some kind of "errors".

    When we try to open it using Subtitle Edit all timing / srt format was messed up.

    See above ( picture) and below ( on attachment ) the subtitles with timing / srt pattern "errors".

    But, despite of that, maybe we can editing them to correct srt format / timing pattern.

    The downside is that we may need do it manually, line by line, one by one.

    I don't know how to do it properly yet.

    Best regards.

    At first I could not even load the subtitles. What changes did you make to the file? Now, at least I can load the file.

    Hi.

    One of the first things that jumped to me was that your subtitle uses "- >" and the subtitles I have use "-->"

    Maybe Subtitle Edit is more relaxed and accepts the invalid "- >" ?
    Open the subtitle file in notepad and do a "search and replace", and you'll have a fixed subtitle file in less tan a minute.

    Also, the srt file is marked as UTF8 at the beginning and instead of using the plain ":" character to separate hours , minutes , seconds and so on, it uses an unicode character that has the same visual representation as ":" but it's different.

    Code:

    1
    00:00:15056 - > 00:00:

    16391
    让我们开始上课
    try:

    1
    00:00:15056 --> 00:00:16391
    让我们开始上课

    (remove line break in the middle of 'out' time)

    All of such information were given from users belong to Doom9, who help me about the subject. Thanks to them and thanks to all who help too!

    See below your subtitle. Try it again.

    Thanks.

    Best regards.

    Hi. I open the subtitle using Subtitle Edit and the program give me the following message.

    Click image for larger version

Name:	Editing.jpg
Views:	262
Size:	292.0 KB
ID:	37879

    After that, I save a new subtitle. And manually make a timing correction on line 173:

    173
    00:08:147,44 --> 00:08:16,496
    值得注意的是, 当我们谈论的毒性
    I don't know why, when I save using Subtitle Edit line 173 change the timing automatically, like this:

    173
    00:10:27,044 --> 00:08:16,496
    值得注意的是, 当我们谈论的毒性

    So, I need to correct it manually, using some text editor.

    After that, I could open such new subtitle without any complains using Subtitle Edit . Except line 173, which one insist appears using "old time".

    Now, you can test the subtitle and see if it runs nice on videos.

    I don't know if the previous messages will cause any problems on the subtitle. You must test and make all the corrections needed.

    Thanks.

    Best regards.
