  1. I have a DVD retail pressed and 2 copies of this DVD SET. I noticed one set has much much thinner discs....than the other. Is it possible the factory they came out of (probably the same) messed up on 1 set and made it THINNER in terms of the polycarbonate layer? It just seems odd but I can't tell.... They are legit from Amazon though. Some seem too similar to tell, and one in particular feels thicker.

Both sets have pressed stamper/hub codes. The thinner ones say "made in canada"

All pressed CDs, DVDs, & Blu-rays are nominally 1.2mm thick, with the rare exception of fat hybrid "DualDisc" types (which contain both a CD side and a DVD side). There could be variations, but those variations shouldn't stray too far otherwise the optics of playback wouldn't work properly.

  3. I'm more concerned with longevity of the discs..but I imagine there's too many factors. I'm running them each through Opti Drive disc qualtiy check now.

This is a wild goose chase until you measure the discs with calipers and objectively establish that they are not the same thickness.

Agreed. Do you have any thoughts about the results? I'm surprised how bad some pressed discs are
