Not really about vcd but when I´m coding a DivX in VirtualDub and want mp3 as soundcompression, the best quality available is 56kbit/s 22050Hz. How can I change this? (and no, it doesn´t matter if I click "show all formats"![]()

You want to find a hacked version of the Fraunhofer mp3 codec called Radium.
It expands the allowable bitrates to almost everything.
They no longer distribute their professional grade codec, but bind it to the various mp3 encoder applications. That way they are more assured of being paid.
