Amazon video direct requires you to select the frame rate of your video when you upload a captions file. I'm trying to determine if my Pro Res 422 video file is "23.976 no drop" or just plain "23.976". According to After Effects it's "23.976". But my question is whether After Effects would OMIT indicating that it's "no drop" even if it is? Is there some sort of freeware that analyzes video file attributes?

  2. Drop frame timecode is generally indicated with ; instead of : between the numbers. AE will generally read and display it correctly. (I don't believe drop frame is allowed in 23.976 anyway.)
