  1. Thinking about getting a cap card soon, just do caps of home videos. Don't need anything fancy, just enough to maintain quality off the VHS tape. any auggestions??

If/when I get the card, would it be better, to capture straight from the video camera via a/v jacks...or pop the tape into a VCR, and capture that way, or there even a difference?

  2. If your camcorder is VHS then it makes no difference.

Alright Kdiddy, you have helped me out and now I can return the favor... Happagues are good...and cheap. Are you going to be using Huffy? I should say do you have a lot of HD space? You can get a good WinTV card for like $40. I personally would recommend that you definitely steer clear of the Pinnacle PCTV series...the quality I got was awful (again, just an opinion). I would really have to suggest a WinTV card...

  5. cool thanks, funny you should say Pinnacle...was looking at it today, now I wont. I would like to capture as lossless as possible, HD space is not an issue.

  6. Get a WinTV Go with BT-878 chipset ( The one with S-VIdeo )
    with these drivers: http://btwincap.sourceforge.net

    You won't regret it.
