I have a cheap capture card that's doing a bad job digitizing VHS-tapes.
Whenever there's noise on the tape the card dies, and it's a real pain getting in running again, so I'm thinking of buying a TBC to provide a nice signal for the card :)

My price range is around 120 USD or 100€... So yea, if anybody could recommend a suitable TBC I'd be very glad :)

For that price you are looking at a used TBC. The Datavideo TBC-1000 and AVTool AVT-8710 (older green model) are recommended. These are miniaturized prosumer designs. You are probably better off staying away from ancient professional gear.

Or maybe use that money for a better capture card. As there will still be noise sometimes, even with a TBC.
