  1. I recorded a video of my friends talking at a club with my Android cell phone. There was music being played over a stereo by a DJ. I want to hear them better and don't care about the music. I know noise canceling headphones produce the exact opposite sound to cancel out unwanted sounds - can I do this with my video? Is there a way to tell the computer what the song is and have it filter it out so I can hear all the other stuff that's going on?

  2. What you need is audio software that can edit in spectrograph which literally allows you to see the individual frequencies within a sound, which can then usually be replaced or pulled from the audio or what have you. The only audio software I am aware of that can do this well is Izotope RX Advanced. It also might as well be a million dollars (cost over a grand). However they used to have an almost fully functional trial version you can play around with

Try running it though an equalizer, boosting the speech frequencies around 3khz, and cutting the highs and the lows. that's about all you can do without specialized software.

Adobe Audition has a spectral display mode with graphical tools for frequency editing.

  7. Since you did not attach any file, what I think the best what you can do in this case would be to use eq.
    Settings:
    Hi-Pass at 300Hz
Broad boost at 4500hz +6dB lets say.
Spectral cleaner will not help or it would be really tedious work.
Since it is music with rhythm in the background, noise reduction software probably won't help too.
