in a somewhat newer crt tv I was given ( Sharp from 2004), one of the speakers was blown so the set acts as mono right now.
The specs for the speaker 32ohms and 2 watts.
The last time speakers for this sold was January so they do not appear that often. I found a replacement set however with one difference in specs, instead of 2 watts they are 2.5 watts.
Would using those .5 higher watt speakers blow anything on the tv's circuit board or should they still be ok? I can even just use one of them since the set's left speaker is still fine.- thanks again

You'll be fine as long as they are 32 ohm.
The watt rating is the max they can tolerate. If the Ohms are the same then the TV will be feeding them the same power as before, <2 watts.
