I bought this in hope that a good copy was available. No such luck, seems to be sourced from the same soft out of focus master as the DVD release. A truly sad excuse for a Blue Ray. There's also something odd about the disk. The disk will not play on MTM5. I tried to backup as movie only and no matter which frame server I chose BDRB would default to FRim frame serving. It did play on my standalone.

Where did you buy the original? Sounds like you got a bootleg. Please see here: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jaws-Blu-ray/7547/

After I ripped to my HD,MTM5 would play it from the HD. I'm guessing some new copy protection. Anydvd wouldn't rip it because I'm using version7695,but DVDfab was able to rip the disk.

  5. Dunno about any copy protection issues, but that was one terrible 3D movie. I saw it on its original run at a drive-in and damned if I could perceive any 3D effect at all. To me it was just soft and out of focus. Yes, that was a long time ago, but it was so bad it was...memorable.

The upside was that my date couldn't watch the movie either.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

Definitely not a bootleg. It was just released June 14. 3d version is included

Sorry. I was looking at (and linking to) the first Jaws, not the third. Disregard my earlier post. The softness was inherent in the heavy application of polarized lens filters used to separate left and right cameras for the 3D effect. It was a crappy image from the beginning, committed to the film negative.
