  1. Hi,
New to the forum and video editing, so please forgive me if this is painfully obvious, lol. My son and I had a gig this weekend and my wife videoed it on my phone but it saved it as one large, 1 hour long file. I'd like to break it down to each song as it's own file. I downloaded VSDC and have converted the .avi file to .mpg and have split the file down to the separate songs but cannot for the life of me figure out how to save the parts as individual files.

I thought it would be as easy as right-clicking and saving as, but I was wrong. Any help anybody could send this way would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
http://www.videosoftdev.com/how-to-split-video-file There on the bottom is a solution I think. Uncheck in export in aditional settings - Join scenes to single.
If you want video result, you have to export project. Save project means it saves current videotrack, setting and etc. but no video output.

  3. I think I finally wrapped my head around this thing. I saved the project, as is, then delete all but one song and save with a new name. Did that for each track and finally have them all saved in separate files. Thanks for the input Bernix.

    You are welcome,
but you can export them all at once each of them as single file. If you uncheck in export settings on tab advanced settings -> Join scenes to single.
    Sorry for my english.
