I'm using Flashback Express recorder. I used to have a full HD monitor but am now having to use an older one at 1440 x 900 max resolution. Am I right in assuming my screen caps are now also at lower resolution?

Does flash back record the incoming data stream
Or
Does it record the screen display
I'm not familiar with it -
Op said screen caps so it will be the lower resolution it's capturing at.

Do many of these screen recorder programs record the input data rather than the screen itself? Obviously that would be preferable in my case now but I wasn't aware that's how any of them worked

Unless you are getting the stream from the server then you are capping the video,it's not an input,it's a stream.
