Can someone explain in simple terms what these mean?
Will it effect r in any way recode/transcode the source m2ts video quality ?

I noticed my mt2s muxed files from Bluray BDMV soures sometimes seem a tiny tiny bit grainier. But result remuxes with TSMuxer is supposed to be 1:1 the same as its source no?

Tsmuxer can't recode/transcode so it wont effect they video quality.

But I have no idea what SEI and VUI is.

  3. Supplemental enhancement information (SEI) and video usability information (VUI) are additional data bonded to payload - they guide decoder how to interpret decompressed video data - various information is sent - for example in SEI you may have information about 3D organization of video data, VUI usually have information about colour space etc.

If you believe that tsmuxer do something with your video data you can always perform PSNR computation with source as reference (and realize that: 'sometimes seem a tiny tiny bit grainier" is pure imagination of yours).

That imagining things factor, is something I took into consideration. I just wanted to make shure.

*Can't colorsace interpretation in such supplement data, affect how a picture looks?
But I guess for Bluray this should always be the same somehow. Don't know why TSmuxer would wanna screw things up.

*is there a way to remove all Sei/Vui info Tsmuxer added to the video stream?
I just want to do this so I can compare videostream of the remux to the bluray source. If the two match it would ease my mind. Theres a few bluray titles I sold but made a copy and remuxed with TSMuxer. That's why.
But maybe you're going to tell me the two already should match anyway. Which should seem logical :P

  5. SEI and VUI define how decoder should treat decoded video so video perceived look may (it will) depend (highly) from decoder you use...
Some fields of SEI/VUI are for sure optional as such they may be not present in video ES - you can make binary copy of your file (or part of it) then modify SEI/VUI to gain experience.

IMHO this grain is your impression not real issue... but there is small chance that it can be true and this make difference between you and some people claiming that they are able to see "subtle tonal difference" between various HDMI cables... nowadays lot of people have something called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_superiority
