I'm using windows 10 on my desktop. I'm trying to convert a few mkv videos to mp4 using Xvid4PSP but right after installing the darn thing keeps giving me a grey screen. In terms of codecs and filters I'm just a beginner. I've searched online for a answer but any I've found works only on older versions of Xvid4PSP.

    Edit: Its the 5-Series.

  2. Another tool you might try is MkvToMp4. It will simply remux if the codecs are compatible with mp4. It will be fast and there will be no loss of quality.

It might be a windows 10 problem.

But why do you just need xvid5psp? Add some filters? Add subs? Just shrink video?

If nothing then try mkv2mp4 as jagabo suggests.
