  1. I have backed up a few of my DVD's in the past to ISO's.

Each of these have multiple episodes on them, and I would like to take each episode and convert it to separate files to be viewed. I would assume everything these days would have multiple formats that I can choose from to covert each episode to, so format really isn't a big issue.

I'd appreciate any suggestions of what software is available for this.

    Thanks for the help!

You could use a virtual drive and mount your ISO to that. Virtual CloneDrive is one example. Then the ISO would appear as a regular DVD disc and you could use a program to extract or encode the separate files to your desired format.

I use VidCoder to process a episodic DVD to separate MKV (H.264/AC-3) files, but there are a lot of other programs available. Some converter programs may also be able to read the ISO directly and process it.

    And welcome to our forums.

I've found that VLC Media Player can be used to open .iso files and play them as if they're DVDs.

You could use VLC's "recording" function to capture an individual episode as an .mpg file. There. Done.

  5. An open source alternative to Virtual CloneDrive is WinCDEmu.
