Newbie here ... i got myself my first blu ray writer yesterday and looked and tried loads of different 1 to 1 copy programs .. my favorite so far is Blue-Cloner Diamond .. the first one i got was version 6.10 which when i tried to rip a blu ray it just kept saying FAILED .. so i got version 6.50 (latest) this then worked also using the patch that came with it .. I then Cloned my new Star Wars Force Awakens blu ray which completed and the quality is fantastic .. however .. the scene selection says it has 51 chapters but when the film is been played after chapter 26 the film starts from the beginning .. and if you try to select a chapter above 26 it starts the film over again .. ? now is this because of the patch ? like its just made the program into a trial version because when i installed Blue-Cloner Diamond it also installed Open Blu Ray Ripper 2 which when you open the program it says The Trial Version Can Only Convert Half Of The Movie Please Register Blue-Cloner Diamond ... if this is the case then i will buy the program at $79.99 because i like it but dont want to spend money if thats not the fault ..

Thanx In Advance for any help ...

Most of us recommend using other decryption tools. DVDFab, DVDFab Passkey and AnyDVD HD are the mainstays. And there is a free option, called MakeMKV.

MakeMKV is free while in beta, and has been in beta for many years now. It will rip a Blu-ray to an MKV file, uncompressed, and without changing the video or audio codecs. If you would prefer the entire movie, not just the main movie, use Backup Mode to get all of it on the hard drive, still in Blu-ray format.

You need to put in a new beta key every month or two, those can be found here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 Or just install a new version of MakeMKV as the program is updated.

Any decryption program needs to be updated regularly as new encryptions and new BDs come out.
If your $79.99 program doesn't update it's decrypter about every couple of weeks, it's a huge waste of money, IMO.

    And welcome to our forums.
