Hello, I have several small personal videos that I would like to split at certain points. I have watched the videos and noted the exact time where I would like to make each split. I would like to find a way either using Window's Movie Maker or possibly another editing software that someone suggests to jump to a specific time in the clip for example jump to 50:17 in the clip so that I can then do a split of the clip at that point. I have not been able to figure out how to jump to a specific time like that aside from trying to eyeball it using the slider in the timeline. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
what format is your video ? x264, xvid, mpeg etc. ? If is it avi, you can use Virtualdub. Goto and set time. But you will have to reencoded most probably.

Hi Bernix, Thank you for replying to my post. The videos that I am working with are 1024 x 576. They are MP4 videos. I have attached the first one in case you need to see that. Thanks

Hello Again,
Thank you Bermix for telling me about Avidermux. I downloaded and installed it. I am able to use Ctrl-T to jump to a specific point. Do you know where I can find a manual or a basic tutorial video for this program? I am a total newbie when it comes to video editing and I am having a hard time figuring out the basics using this program. Thank you again for your help.

I think there will be some videos on youtube.
And I found this http://filmora.wondershare.com/video-editor/free-video-editor-avidemux.html
There is plenty of videos on youtube. But I found them not very good.
And use much lower bitrate about 200kb, because in your example there are still pictures. So no 1000 as is in tutorial above
