  1. I'm trying to frameserve (using DebugMode FrameServer Ver 2.15) from Vegas 13 to Xvid4PSP ver 5.10.346. Windows 10 x64.

I can get the the video and audio into Xvid4PSP but the video quality is severely degraded. It looks like the preview screen in Vegas. If I render it in Vegas to an output file the quality is fine.

I've followed the instructions for frameserving from Vegas (easy) but I can't explain the degraded video in Xvid4PSP.

    Is anyone doing this successfully?

What settings are you using xvid4psp? Video codec?

Frame server serves Vegas project properties, not clip properties. So Vegas project properties should be exactly the same as your video clip properties.

If you export using Render As..., some Vegas template, it exports properties that you set in export and it is calculated from clip properties not project properties. There is some exception where some info is taken from project properties like deinterlace method (if any) ...

The settings would apparently be of minimal impact since I can render the same video with the same settings when loaded directly into Xvid4PSP and not sourced from the frameserver. At any rate, it would require a long time to detail all the settings, but I'm using settings that have proved reliable over many years. Codec is x264 Q18.

I didn't know this. Hopefully this will turn out to be the answer. Thanks.
