  1. I'm a longtime user of Xvid4PSP 5. I've been trying to use version 7 and I can find absolutely no documentation on it. The Help icon says no help is available. There are no tool tips for the various icons. Is this a trial-and-error process? If so, I question the description on the download page for Xvid4PSP describing it as "easy-to-use".

If someone can point me to a guide I would appreciate it. Otherwise I'll search for a replacement app.

    http://winnydows.com/en/screenshots/

Complete new design and logic for Chapters tab.
Crop filter updated to 2x pixel step.
    Returned Windows XP compatibility.
Updated codecs: x264, x265, XviD, dcadec.
    Many important changes and fixes.

But I doubt it will helps you.

AFAIK there is not anything else on the net.

There are tooltips at least for left panel.

  3. Thanks, Bernix. I've found lack of documentation to be the norm these days, even for commercial apps.

I found a video showing how to encode x265 using Xvid4PSP 5, but it didn't say how to install the x265 codec.

    Hi,
you can at least try version 7 if you want to use x265. It isnt such hard to understand. And x265 works well. I saw the video and dont understand how he installed the codec.

  5. The latest version of 5 (5.10.346) includes the x265 codec.
