I've got a few DVDs I bought that all have the problem of the subtitles getting stuck on screen until the next subtitle appears, and I'm not sure what to do about it. They're all PAL DVDs, and my Blu-Ray/DVD player is region free. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Is there a fix for this? It's rather frustrating.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

So they play ok on a pc, it's just on the standalone player?
This old thread decided it was the player.

Yeah, when I play the DVDs on my computer they're fine, but it's when I play them on the DVD player they're screwed up.

What make and model is your blu-ray player?

Sound like a blu-ray player not up to specs due to a custom firmware.

Copy them to a USB media? Hardcode the subs if need be.
