you can change language in batch in Pspad. But if I were you, I first backup your files Simply find und and replace with f.e. eng or what is your language "code" But it is very unsafe metod. And because of large files it last forever.

I think mkv2mp4 can open mp4s...and without reencoding when you save them.

If you don't need a GUI there's also mkvpropedit in the mkvtoolnix package. (which JMkvpropedit uses)

  9. One shouldn't convert MKV to MOV/MP4/AVI. Matroska files irrevocably changes the H264/H265. You can't restore to its original state. A decoder such as the LAV may be confused. The image is black because the decoder doesn't know the encoding YUV, depth or colormatrix.

As for the metadata. Please note that DATA_RELEASED there is a timestamp in MOV/MP4/AVI.
Comments in the container MOV/MP4 may contain only Apple Enter (hex: 0A, not Windows hex: 0D0A). Otherwise, video players based on ffmpeg will display stupidity.
Comments in the AVI container must have a text (DOS), they cann't be processed in UTF-8/16.
