  1. I am having a problem merging to AVI files with Avidemux in Linux. I start up Avidemux and open the first AVI file and when I append the second AVI file nothing happens. If I open the second AVI file with Avidemux and look at the properties it says that it is zero frames. I tried using the double arrow to get to the first I frame but nothing happened. The second AVI file plays in Openshot and Brassero. Both AVI files were taken with the same camera back to back and the propertites are the same. I was able to merge many AVI file with Avidemux but not this one file. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Maybe problem in latest version. When Iam trying to append file, it is upside down etc. My version is 2.6.12 64bit windows.
Why dont you try to merge the files in Openshot then ?

  3. I did try Openshot but I didn't see and option to save it as an AVI file. I ended up fixing the AVI file with the Linux command "mencoder -idx input.avi -ovc copy -oac copy -o output.avi," that I found on another site. Thank you.
