I want to use two web cams to record my school's spring concert. One will be fixed - wide angle, and the other will be a bit mobile and will zoom in on a duet, solo, etc. If I use "real" cameras, with hdmi cables, i will need to spend at least $1K to get a switch to smoothly manage this process. I think Open Broadcaster is capable of managing two USB cameras. has anyone ever used this setup? The ultimate goal is to upload realtime to a website, where all of the grannies and aunties from across the country can see their adorable grandchild/niece/nephew perform. I have noticed that some USB webcams advertise HD. Does anyone know if any have white balance capabilities, or other ways of tuning the picture?
Sound will be recorded by a system of microphones with a mixer, then connected to the computer, where it will be uploaded to the www.

Check out ManyCam Studio. You set it as your camera in whatever streaming software you're using, then select and switch between multiple UBS cameras, images (think a background you're broadcasting while you wait for the event to start), microphones, other audio inputs. No white balance (at least in my current version, 5.05), but it does have brightness, contract, saturation, and separate red/green/blue adjustments to the color. To tell the truth, I haven't used it much, only for one live stream, but it works very well.
