    hello i have this problem and dont know what i can do to it
    the subs are hardcode
    so i dont know it is

    i thought hard coded subs were part of the video
    cannot be inserted or removed, it is part of the picture

    IF you mean the subs won't work, when you change the file name, then you need to change the name of the SUBS file to match the video file name

    move the file to another folder with a much shorter file path
    like a folder on your desk top
    change the video file name, change subs file name to match ( get rid of those periods and extraneous characters use underlines or spaces )
    then author the dvd using those files from the desktop folder
