Hey,
I am recording a ceremony with a EVI-HD1 Sony camera but when I attempted to connect it to my laptop and record with Sony Vegas Pro - nothing showed up on my laptop.
I am running SDI out to a blackmagic adapter and hdmi into laptop.
The same setup works going to a moniter, just not my laptop -anyone have any ideas?
Anyone ever used Sony Vegas pro to capture video?
Any help would be appreciated!

You need input ... capture card for laptop
Yes it worked on tv because that is an input only
And welcome to the forum -
Awesome - that's what I needed to know!
That also leads to another question...I've also got what looks like a mini display port - is that also output only?
Thanks for the help and for welcoming me to this forum.
You'll probably be hearing more from me -
