Losing subtitles with Videostream

Hello folks I am ripping from commercial DVD's with Winx DVD Ripper and streaming to my TV with Video Stream. I can view English subtitles on my computer, but cannot display them on the TV. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would try find a a streamer that supports subtitles like maybe Serviio, Universal Media Server or https://www.videohelp.com/software/sections/video-streaming

Or use handbrake or vidcoder to burn in/hardcode subtitles and then stream.

assuming you are using the APP on the TV to view these streams
the TV APP will have to support that subtitle format and be turned on from the APP control setup
you might have to convert the subtitle file to another format

Thanks for that info theewizard. The tv displays subtitles where movie and subtitle are downloaded from the net. Just not those ripped from DVD's with WinX DVD Ripper.
I will come back if I need help to change the format.

You might find subs for your dvds from net. Or convert your dvd subtitles to srt with subtitle edit.

In my experience, Videostream only supports .SRT subtitles. What kind of subtitles are you using, if in the file you can use Mediainfo to find out.
