Editing parts of a video without re-encoding it

Hi,

To those who can cope with commercial apps. + a weird UI (interface):

"Smart Cutter 1.9.4", full name "Smart Cutter for DV and DVB", with H.264/AVCHD support, claims to cut with no recode BETWEEN key frames

and actually did, when I tested it (a while ago...).

Recodes a few frames only — BUT / note :

after more than one, two or three edits, although it does NOT recode the whole video, the results seem to grow quite heavier than the original file...

+... "have fun" with its interface...

[ edit ] Or "SolveigMM Video Splitter (6.x / not free either)" : tested again, since (mentioned here / answer #2, and) old versions were not very convincing.

Seems more efficient than "Smart Cutter" in cutting BETWEEN keyframes without letting the results grow (heavy) — but very accurate frame by frame scrolling more difficult...
