  1. Hi!

I have one Full HD .mov (PNG) video what size is about 34 GB. This does not work well with VLC but works QuickTime video player.

I would like to change this video to h.264 codec as the highest quality. Is this is possible? I tried the Freemake program and it reduces the video file size by 70%, and did not choose higher. This PNG codec is the problem.

My home language is finnish. All does not go according to grammar.

This video contains the recorded video cine film

Go for ffmpeg or for x264 (not sure about supported video formats on x264 input).

For lossless h.264 this one https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/H.264#LosslessH.264 may be interesting most.

Handbrake would probably be easiest. Use x264 (one of the slow presets) with a CRF of 18.

Freemake also uses x264 but they use ABR/2 Pass with the fastest settings possible.

I like XmediaRecode. Very versatile and effective.

  6. I tested Handbrake program with h.264 lossless settings. The original file size is 34 GB
but the program makes less than 5 GB MKV file. Is this normal? New mkv file works well but the quality can not say.

How copying text (Ctrl+C) to notepad (Ctrl + V) and saving as a batch file can be too hard?
There is ready solution for your problem, easy, moderately fast and no hassle with bloatware...
