  1. I can't find any of the supported codecs (dirac, theora, tarkin) in Shotcut's list.

Convert to a lossless codec(or use high bitrate h264) and then convert with something else?

Ogg is an audio codec. Why are you looking for a video codec to encode an audio file?
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

There are several programs I could use. I was just trying to figure out how to do it with Shotcut.

What's the difference between the codec and the file extension? I've used a couple of programs to convert to ogg, thinking I'd just be converting to audio, only to find when I play the file that it's a video.
