    Remember when Yahoo video search allowed you to find AVIs and MPEGs on the WWW and not just video sharing sites? Does there exist any current video search engine to find downloadable videos? The way it was done before YouTube.

    Not likely. I'd imagine all of the 'normal' search providers don't want to bother risking the lawyers giving them grief over "making illegal media easily accessible."
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
